  Arthur Benjamin, Palm Beach philanthropist, was inspired to launch nonprofit, Action to End Drowning , after coming across WAVE Drowning Detection Systems. What is WAVE and how does it work? What is WAVE Drowning Detection Systems? WAVE is a Drowning Detection System (DDS) that’s portable, accurate and easy to use.  The basic premise behind the system is simple.  WAVE helps to alert lifeguards or other nearby individuals when a swimmer appears to be at risk of drowning.  How does WAVE work? While swimming in a pool, whether at home or in public, swimmers wear ultra-lightweight headband-like devices placed at the back of the head.  These devices communicate with a hub, which also communicates with wristband devices worn by lifeguards or other nearby supervision.   For those who consider Four Seasons to be their second home, Arthur Benjamin has fantastic news! Four Seasons Palm Beach is set to reopen on Thursday, March 1, 2021. Due to the protocol posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Four Seasons Palm Beach has been closed for more than a year.  But things are about to go back to normal on March 1st when the 6-acre property reopens to the public!  Visitors will once again be able to enjoy the location’s gorgeous private beach, pools, restaurants and relaxing spa.  Of course, this comes in at perfect timing for Easter weekend. An added bonus that Arthur Benjamin, Palm Beach local is excited for?  There’s a new member of staff at the Four Seasons location : an Australian Labradoodle named Fort who is a certified therapy dog.  Known for being an animal lover, Benjamin is excited to meet the talented new staff member!
